The movie is fun, and as far as I can remember I last read the book more than 30 years ago it's faithful.

Peter Ustinov has fun with the role, but he doesn't clown it up. It's a bit less serious than Branagh's performance in Murder on the Orient Express, but about the same as Finney's in the corresponding role although a little less heavy-handed than Finney's performance, in my opinion.

Solid cast throughout, a lot of it shot in location I think - anyway, it's gorgeous , and a cute mystery.
